Cairo

Day 2

Cairo – Aswan – Nile Cruise (Breakfast) {Monday – Wednesday - Friday Cruise}

  • Checkout from hotel
  • Transfer to Cairo airport for morning flight to Aswan
  • Meet and greet by our representative at Aswan airport
  • Transfer to Cruise for check-in.
  • Visit to Nubian Village post check in to cruise - Traditional village with vividly colored houses, spice shops & cafes overlooking the Nile River
  • Dinner and Overnight on board

Day 3

Nile Cruise (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

  • After breakfast, Visit the world-famous High Dam, an engineering miracle built in 1960 protecting Egypt from annual floods from the Nile. It is the world's largest embankment dam which was built across the Nile
  • Then proceed to visit the majestic Philae temple, an ancient pilgrimage center which has an elaborate and impressive structure. The beautiful granite, the polished stones, the richly elaborated capitals of various shapes, and the ceilings with beautiful astrological designs are elements of great beauty that have no comparison in the ancient world.
  • Lunch on Cruise
  • Post lunch, cruise sets sail and docks again after few hours. Visit Kom Ombo Temple - The temple is unique because it is in fact a double temple, dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon-headed god. The layout combines two temples in one with each side having its own gateways and chapels.
  • Dinner and Overnight on board

Day 4

Nile Cruise (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

  • Visit the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt – The Temple of Edfu is the second largest temple in Egypt. It is also known as the Temple of Horus (the falcon-headed God) and it is the most beautiful and well-preserved of all the Egyptian temples.

Day 5

Nile Cruise – Luxor (Breakfast)

  • Checkout from Cruise
  • Visit Karnak Temple – An ancient Egyptian temple located in east bank of river Nile. The complex remains one of the largest religious complexes in the world
  • Continue visit to Luxor Temple – The temple complex is surrounded by mud brick walls, symbolic of the separation between the world and the sacred realm of the Gods
  • Transfer to Luxor hotel for check-in. Overnight in Luxor

Day 6

Luxor - Cairo (Breakfast)

  • Visit Valley of Queens - Burial site for queens, princesses, and other royal family members from the 19th and 20th dynasties.
  • Visit to the Valley of kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
  • Transfer to Luxor airport for evening flight to Cairo
  • Arrival at Cairo, hotel check-in
  • Overnight in Cairo
  • Optional tour not included: Early morning Hot air balloon ride - Experience a new side of Luxor, from the sky, with a 45 minutes hot air balloon experience. Breakfast box will be provided. Our representative will pick you up from your hotel around 4am and take you to the launch spot, where you’ll get a quick safety briefing before floating up to the sky. As you soar over the ancient city, your pilot guide will point out various historic attractions and tell you a bit about the area’s rich ancient history. Drop to hotel post tour. Cairo – Khan Khalili Bazaar (Breakfast)

  • Half day tour to explore the traditional Egyptian market-Khan-El-Khalili Bazaar - Enjoy Egyptian delicacies and option to buy souvenir from the market at you own expense
  • Overnight in Cairo

Day 8

Cairo (Breakfast)

  • Pick up by our representative for full day visit of one of the 7 Wonders of the World - The Great Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx – Enjoy an excursion to The Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion’s body, which dates back to the time of Chephren.
  • Continue visit of the Egyptian Museum- Home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. Inside the great domed, oddly pinkish building, the glittering treasures of Tutankhamun and other great pharaohs lie alongside the grave goods, mummies, jewelry, eating bowls and toys of Egyptians whose names are lost to history
  • Overnight at hotel in Cairo

Day 9

Cairo – Alexandria Tour (Breakfast)

  • Post breakfast, transfer to Alexandria by private car (220 k/m away from Cairo- 2.5hour drive)
  • Arrive Alexandria and start day tour by visit to the ancient Library of Alexandria, built in the city that was the brainchild of Alexander the Great, was one of the greatest wonders of the world, hosting scholars who explored science, history and all other areas of knowledge before its tragic destruction. It is one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world.
  • Proceed to visit the Catacombs - Being the most important Greco Roman necropolis in Egypt, the Catacombs have a mixture of Roman, Hellenistic, Pharaonic, and ancient Egyptian decorative art, elements that were all common during this period in Alexandria.
  • Visit to Pompey’s pillar - The only known free-standing column in Roman Egypt. Moreover, it is also one of the largest monolithic columns ever erected.
  • Photo stop at Quaitbay Citadel - It is considered one of the most important defensive strongholds, not only in Egypt, but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast. It formulated an important part of the fortification system of Alexandria in the 15th century AD.
  • Transfer to Cairo by evening
